Privacy in short, for parents
This is a one-page summary of our full Privacy Policy. ClassGuard is built by Kryft (SECP CUIN 0347008). Questions: hello@kryft.dev.
What ClassGuard does with your child's phone
During class, ClassGuard keeps your child inside the class app on their Android phone. Outside class times the phone works normally. Your child can leave the lock early only with an exit PIN that you or the school control.
What we collect about your child
- Name, school, class and roll number (from the school or from you).
- When they joined and left each class, attendance, homework, marks and teacher notes.
- Focus numbers (only if you agree): a score per minute and how long attention was away.
- Phone status during class: battery, network, whether the lock is working, and warnings if someone tries to switch it off.
- Counts of notifications from other apps during class — never their content.
What we never do
- Never sell your child's data or show ads.
- Never use it to train AI.
- Never keep a photo, video or voice recording of your child. Focus tracking looks through the camera on the phone itself and sends only numbers. Live class video is never recorded.
Your choices
- Focus tracking is off until you agree. You'll see a clear screen explaining it when you link your child. You can switch it off any time in Settings → Privacy.
- See your data: Settings → Download my data.
- Delete your account: Settings → Delete my account. If you created a family account, your children's accounts are deleted too. If your child's account belongs to a school, we remove your link and the school keeps its own records.
How long we keep it
Detailed focus and class details: 90 days. Reports, attendance and marks: 1 year. Deleted accounts: gone within 30 days. Full table.
Who sees it
You, your child's teachers (for their own classes) and your child's school. One school can never see another school's data.
